Pretty Summer Pickets

Happy first day of Summer dear blogging friends!
It has been just glorious in our part of New England this past week.
I love picket fences any time of year but rose covered in summer has to be my most favorite time to view them. Lately I have had the urge to photograph them. This tour is a sampling of my most recent adventure in capturing some picket fence garden romance! Are you lucky enough to have your very own pickets in your yard or garden somewhere? I hope so, but just in case you're crazy for pickets like me, still pinin' for your own someday, pour yourself something refreshing, sit back and enjoy!

Is there anything more charming than roses spilling over a picket fence in summer?  To read how I REALLY feel about picket fences go here

HAPPY SUMMER!

  4. I love these pictures.
They remind me something I've always wanted-- but have actually never had. I've recently been thinking of how I could incorporate a picket fence or even just a portion of one into my yard.

  8. Love picket fences! Hubby built one at our previous home and I painted it blue since the house was white. Just bought a short white section at a flea market and looking forward to finding a great spot for it.

  14. All your picket fence pictures are absolutely stunning! I had wanted a white picket fence ever since seeing a picture of Susan Branch's online. Finally last year for my birthday my husband built a picket fence around our garden. This spring I painted it and LOVE IT and LOVE taking care of my flowers around it.

  16. Oh yes, they're so simple and the perfect foil for roses...herbs love them too, and flowers love to spill out through the pickets.

At my herb and garden shop in Cambria I designed a picket fence with a quail at the top of each picket. I love it still.

    Sending love,
