Isn't this Hay Man far out? What can I say? I'm a child of the 70's!
We grabbed the warmer of the two days last weekend and took the family out pumpkin pickin' and I almost got to sit on a tractor but my handsome Yankee talked me out of climbing up on top of it!
Instead,; he took my picture leaning up against it and that was almost as good as startin' her up and heading for the field!
How old do you think this tractor is?
The teens played punkin' face a little reluctantly
but my begging finally worked and the promise of pizza for dinner later!
They got lost and went for a walk in the corn maze while we took a look around in the farm stand where they had crates full of harvested root veggies and gourds.
YAMS!
BUTTERNUT SQUASH
.
MORE PUMPKINS!
We picked out a few for carving. I can't wait to show you what we've decided to do with them!
Hay Man says, "Get out there and grab yourself some of fall before all the leaves are on the ground. "
I'm taking this little farm tour over to Melissa's Down Home Blog Hop today!
Wonderful photos ! I do like the one of you by the tractor very pretty ! Looks like a fun day ! Love the Hay Man so cute ! Have a good evening .
ReplyDeleteP.S I think that tractor must be at least 100 years old . It's a beauty ! I like old farm machinery/equipment !
ReplyDeleteThanks Elaine, I love old farm equipment too!
DeleteWhat a fun day you had. Love the family pic and of course you by the tractor. I'm guessing the tractor is from the 40's. By the 50's the front axle had the wheels spread. And the 30's had steel wheels. Oh did I tell you I have a love of tractors! Going to get me an old tractor even if all I do is drive it to the Post Office to get my mail, ha-ha!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great day!
Hi Junebug! I can see you now, going down the road on your way to the Post Office... Hey, I bet they get better gas mileage than most cars!
DeleteTee He!
Thanks for the note!
Beautiful photos! You all look great! Can't wait to see what you do with the pumpkins :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tammy!

ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa! My pleasure!
DeleteI'm in love with the tractor. My mother (she's 91) has her father's tractor that looks very much like your picture. It still runs and is used each spring to plow the fire break between her yard and her forest. How could you not have a good time with such a handsome family as your company! Blessings for your day!
ReplyDeleteMe too Andy! Oh, that's so neat your mom has her fathers tractor and that it still runs!!! Blessings!
