" Hollyhock Days "
A Saturday Scene for your enjoyment~
This Hollyhock is from Deb's garden. She's reading Hollyhock Days by Sharon Lovejoy. Deb says, " It's never too late to learn the wonders of a garden whether in a pot or a plot! Sharon says, " Gardening is for Kids of ALL ages ". Gardening IS child's play so don't forget to have little ones by your side as you weed, plant, water and wonder at the marvels of nature at work."
" Flowers have and expression of countenance as much as men and animals. Some seem to smile; some have a sad expression;some are pensive and diffident;others again are plain, honest and upright, like the broad-faced sunflower and the hollyhock " ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Gosh, I just love hollyhocks! I guess I should try planting some next year! :)
What a beautiful flower! I only have white hollyhocks left anymore. Such a shame because they are beautiful.
I hope you are well. I see that you have not updated your blog to August. Praying that peace and harmony reign in your home today!
Ditto what Lynnie said! Truly hope all is well and you are simply resting up, like I should be doing!!!
