I'm late, I'm late for a very important date! What date you ask? For getting this post up! All of my spring work in the garden is catching up with me but I would NEVER forget you! Better late than never so here we go!
Welcome Friends and new blog hop participants! It's week # 60 of the Farmgirl/guy Friday blog hop and what a week it's been!
Whew doggies! What an amazing group of entries last week! As spring progresses into early summer your farmgirl doin's just get better and better! I am always amazed at the things that you tackle on your homesteads and in your homes. It's not enough that you grown your own food, can, preserve, care for families and animals but then you go and toss in a bit of GIRL GENIUS to go along with it!
This weeks FEATURED FARMGIRL A Seed Inspired had me salivating over her recipe for Springy Strawberry Quick-cake ( gluten free BTW )! Strawberries are in season and I'm always looking for a new way to enjoy them.
It wasn't just her recipe that caught my eye it was her hand-painted recipe card!
Here's what she says about her creative cards: " You know a recipe is good in this house when I don’t stuff it in the junk drawer…but I paint a recipe card for it"
Now it's your turn to flaunt your farmgirl/guy spirit!
1.)
Write a post about your farmgirl lifestyle and brag a little about
your farmgirl talents while your at it! Share what being a farmgirl
means to you. Include lots of photos of your farm, crafts, animals,
quilts, home decor projects and thrifty make overs, your backyard
garden, chicken coop, recipes, studio or workshop. You get the idea!
2). Leave your entry in the Mr. Linky space to your Farmgirl Friday post.
3). Please include the Farmgirl Friday button ( or link back here ) in your post and remember to share this hop with all of your blogging friends!
Have a great week everyone and thank you so much for all you share here every Friday!
Farmgirl Blessings to all!

Thanks for the note country gal.. you and pappa have a great weekend!
T, you are most welcome... The comments on DH Facebook all indicate a BOOK of your lovely painted recipe cards would be very popular!!!
Thanks for swinging by my porch. I highly recommend putting down a 8 inch layer of compost (mine is buffalo compost) on the floor and just planting in the ground. You can't believe how well my lettuce and spinach wintered! Then as you can see my husband made a wonderful bench that has a raised bed on the bottom. It is a small greenhouse, but I am learning to best utilize the space. I love your recipe and the card is just beautiful. I will be making that tomorrow. Thank you for hosting Farm Girl Friday. It is always so fun to wander through.
Thank you so much! I've got some chicken compost that will do the trick!
