Picket fences aren't just a " summer thing " when they're draped in climbing roses, or standing tall behind cottage flowers. They can steal the show in Autumn too! Come see what I mean!
Late blooming Knock Out Roses extend through out summer until the first frost, but, look behind the fence in the shadows. Ornamental grasses are fully feathered, a sure sign of late Fall.

I love pickets as a small section at a driveway entrance or surrounding an entire yard.
A picket gate is the perfect compliment to your picket fence.
We are surrounded by beauty both natural and man made every day! Keep your eyes and heart open, so you don't miss it!
Do you have a favorite image from this post? Mine is the top photo!

Beautiful. My favorites are the top photo and the photo second from the last. I love how the sun lights up everything above the peak of the roof as the brilliant red foliage sits nestled below catching small bits of sunlight too. So pretty. I love your pictures, they always inspire me to go make something. Thank you.
LOVE this post!
There is nothing like a white fence and you found so many wonderful glimpses of them.
My favorite is the white arch with the red door and star followed closely with the white pickets and daisies. :)
White picket fences are so adorable. Such a lovely collection. Thanks so much for joining the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge. Make sure to bring a fav fall photo next week for a chance to win a fab prize! Have a great weekend!
